If you have recently undergone cancer treatments, then there is a good chance your smile may suffered some side effects such as dry mouth, sensitive gums and more. To get your oral health back on track, our dentist, Dr. John Kim, encourages you to do a few things. Some steps you can take include:

-Visiting our office: Because the treatment can cause dental issues, it’s best to let your dentist treat them right away. This can help you return to the top-notch oral health and smile you deserve.

-Keeping up on oral hygiene: It’s strongly recommended to brush every morning and night, floss once a day and rinse daily. These things can clean your teeth and gums regularly and help them regain their strength and health.

-Avoiding tobacco products: Tobacco contains harmful chemicals and has been linked to cancer.

-Eating nutritious foods: There are many foods that can help you have the strong and healthy teeth and immune system you need, like fruits, vegetables, grains, protein and dairy products. So, try to consume them as much as possible.
